Film Nova Scotia Empire Theatres Screen Bridge Award Films

first_imgFilm Nova Scotia and Empire Theatres will showcase the province’s emerging talent with a free screening of the short films The Motorcycle, One Hit Wonder and The Lullaby of Mike Bossy on Wednesday, Nov. 28 at 7 p.m. at the Oxford Theatre, 6408 Quinpool Rd., Halifax. The projects, produced by Tarek Abouamin, Brad Horvath and Aram Kouyoumdjian won the CBC/Film Nova Scotia Bridge Award. The award is designed to give emerging producers the opportunity to produce a program for broadcast in the Atlantic Region. The screening is being held to increase awareness of the Bridge Award among emerging producers in advance of the Feb. 8, 2008 application deadline. It is also a showcase of the next generation of Nova Scotia filmmakers. Screening nights are held four times a year and allow local audiences to see homegrown film productions while helping local filmmakers promote their work.last_img
