Morocco: Six Libyans, several women arrested over prostitution charges

first_imgRabat- According to the Moroccan daily Al Akbar in its edition of Monday December 30th, Tangier’s police, in northern Morocco, arrested this weekend six Libyan nationals along with several Moroccan alleged sex workers. The arrest took place in a furnished apartment in the center of the city after police officers were informed about the existence of an apartment devoted to prostitution. According to the same source, the police raided the apartment and found the suspects in an “immoral position”. The operations, which took place in coordination with the Public Prosecutor’s office, led to the arrest of six Libyans and a number of Moroccan alleged prostitutes.
