Borderlands 2 DLC Captain Scarlett and Her Pirates Booty out today

first_imgIf you’ve already completed Borderlands 2 and are a bit bored of wondering around the same locations and shooting the same creatures, never fear, new DLC is here. It’s called Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate’s Booty and it’s out now on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. In the add-on pack you’ll be transported to a new location called Oasis, full of sand and sunshine. Not only is there a ton of new missions, there’s great new characters, weapons, enemies and a new vehicle called the Sand Skiff. The Sand Skiff is a hover vehicle that looks like it’s stepped out of Return of the Jedi, and watching the trailer shows even the giant toothy sand worm from Star Wars features too. It also fires harpoons and explodes on impact, it can only fit two players in but it already sounds like the best vehicle ever created. The main story of Captain Scarlett sees you helping the pirate leader herself find the treasure, or booty, she’s looking for. From Kotaku’s review, it sounds as if there’s over 6 hours of game play for the main storyline, that doesn’t include the numerous side mission included. The DLC costs $9.99 or 800 Microsoft points, alternatively if you’ve purchased the Season Pass, this DLC will be included and is the first in a series of four planned add-on campaigns.Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate’s Booty adds a lot more game play, more variety  more laughs and yet more references to popular culture which is exactly what you want out of a Borderlands 2 expansion.via Gearboxlast_img
